Measuring over 32 square metres, our live room has plenty of space to allow your creativity to flow. We have a wide selection of microphones available including: Neumann, Sennheiser, AKG, Shure and Rode and there is all manor of backline for hire should you need it (please contact us for more details).
Our vocal booth (2.5m x 2.2m) offers the perfect space for voice-overs, overdubs and solo projects. It is also ideal for acoustic separation during live recordings.
Our spacious control room offers a comfortable and relaxed environment for listening to playbacks and mixing. Utilising the Logic platform, we have a vast array of plugins for every occasion with names including: Neve, Fairchild, Studer and Manley. We use Genelec, Adam and Yamaha for monitoring.
WELCOME TO SHACK STUDIO
Shack is based in Rettendon, Essex and opened its doors to the public in 2000. Our studio offers the perfect environment for relaxed and professional recording, mixing and mastering sessions.
Our engineers have more than two decades of audio production experience so you can be sure of the very best results every time. From a simple voice-over to a full band production you will find that our attention to detail and commitment to client satisfaction is second to none.
Shack is also home to producer and engineer Grant Matthews. Grant was the owner, producer and engineer at Studio Adelaide which became one of the most highly respected and sought after studios in Essex until it closed in 2006.
